And this is what the website says:

Product Description

Energy, Focus, Endurance…FKD® is a pre workout that has scientifically proven ingredients to help you Fuel your body, Kill your workout and Destroy your personal best.
This is Bodyfirst Nutrition’s first own brand range of sports nutrition supplements under the Bodyfuel Nutrition name.
This product is banned substance free and is produced in a Trusted By Sport facility.
Features: (per serving)
– 200mg Caffeine
– 2g Beta-Alanine
– 2g Arginine
– 2g L-Citrulline Malate
– 2g Acetyl L-Tyrosine
– 240mg Vitamin C
Why should you choose FKD® ?
Before training: there are ingredients that you can take to boost physiological and metabolic responses during exercise performance. These ingredients include high energy compounds and central nervous system stimulants that allow you to perform at a higher intensity for longer during your workout.
Beta-Alanine: is a non-essential amino acid that can be found in many foods. Beta-Alanine increases the buffering capacity of muscles during high intensity exercise, consequently, fatigue time is delayed and athletes are able to train harder for longer. Using Beta-Alanine is an excellent strategy for maximising training intensity and improving fitness, speed and strength.
Arginine: the intake of arginine has been shown to boost growth hormone (GH) after intense resistance training. Growth hormone is one of the primary hormones that influence adaption to training; it is therefore highly important to maximise GH levels after exercise.
L-Citrulline Malate: supplementation may improve exercise performance by increasing the delivery of adenosine tri-phosphate (ATP) to working muscles. This can also benefit athletes by reducing feelings of fatigue during exercise and improving the rate of muscle recovery post-exercise. Citrulline malate can be particularly beneficial for athletes training hard in preparation for competitive events.
Tyrosine: is a non essential amino acid that is a precursor for neurotransmitters like epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Tyrosine is suggested to improve mental alertness and focus which may in turn improve exercise performance.
Nutritonal Facts:
Serving Size: 1 Scoop (15g)
Servings Per Container: 30
Directions For Use: FKD works best as a pre workout drink for boosting energy levels before performance. One serving (15g as 1 scoop) should be mixed in 250ml of water. If using 2 scoops, mix with 500ml of water (Do Not Exceed 2 scoops)
For best results, consume one serving 15 to 30 minutes before your training or activity."

First thoughts of FKD

I must say Bodyfirst captured my attention when they started posting picture of this product. The name FKD is brilliant, the packaging is great (I'm a girl and little details matter to me ha ha )

They got my attention and I just had to try it!

I am always looking for a pre-workout drink, my current one I am using I actually purchased from Bodyfirst. I have two pre-workout drink I like taking. Further below I will briefly compare them with FKD.

I was a bit put off by the flavor kola krush, I have to admit I don't like coca-cola, or any type of cola flavored drink (never liked fizzy drinks ha ha ) but I said I would try it anyway.

Taking FKD

So I finally had the chance to drink it before the gym today. It says you can have 1 scoop (mixed with 250ml of water) for an intense affect or two scoops for an extreme workout !!

As soon as I opened it, I could smell kola ha ha (it smelt like the cola bottle jellies you can buy. I don't mind them but let's just say their always the last ones left in my pick and mix bag ha ha )

It says to drink it 15-30 minutes before your workout. So my final verdict- it taste AWESOME

It was like drinking millions of cola bottles ha ha, but no I wouldn't be put off my the flavor if your like me and wouldn't think you would like it. Not bad at all.

How did I feel after taking FKD

I am sure you are all wondering how I felt after it, if I then felt tired and low after working out. NO, it does not let you crush and fall after an intense workout.

For example today I ran 6 miles and then did some ab exercises and weights. I was working out for about an hour and a half, once I was done I was still fine plenty of energy. Still feel like it while writing this.

Which is great, FKD allowed me to preform better, stronger and for longer.

FKD compared to my other pre-workout drinks

I noticed the scoop is much bigger (always good ha ha) compared to my other two. It says not to exceed the max two scoops.

It's different, not your usual fruity flavored drink. I like their are only a few ingredients too.

FKD was more effective on me, I workout for longer, but stronger as I mentioned before.

Final thoughts on FKD

To wrap this up, I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a new pre-workout drink. It will now become my favorite one to take before my gym sessions. Its just purely a very good pre-workout drink, competes very well with well-known brands (as one of my pre-workout drinks is). I wouldn't go past it you guys!!
